28 weeks. This is officially the start of my 3rd trimester. 7 months, 3 more to go. But 7+3=10?? 10 months?? I must be wrong, right? Women are only pregnant for 9 months! Right...? WRONG!! Women are pregnant for 40 weeks, and there are about 4 weeks in a month so 40 divided by 4=10! 10 months! So, there is my math lesson for today. Now you know. If you have never been pregnant, don't be fooled!! It's 10 months!!
Today was my last appointment in the Every-4-weeks series. I just have to say, I love my doctor! He is just so attentive and nice and reassuring! Last appointment i have to take my Gestational Diabetes Test. And i failed. Well, not really. But my limit for blood sugar is 139...so i was over by one point. Let me just say, the day of the test i OD'd on Lindt and chocolate pudding...Which is completely out of the norm for me since I got pregnant. I have actually had a STRONG aversion to chocolate, I KNOW!!! Crazy, right?? So, the day of my test, I had a 4 hour meeting and I was bored so, I bought a small coffee, 5 Lindt Dark Chocolate Truffles and a ginormous cup of Chocolate Pudding with Whipped Cream and chocolate chips! I ate all!!! Mind you, this was all within an hour of having to take the GD test. So, I got to the Doctor's and they give you a drink that tastes like orange Gatorade, but sweeter. So, needless to say my sugar levels were a tad bit elevated. Now, I have to take 3hour Glucose Tolerance Test. I had it scheduled for December 7th at 12. I had to be fasting!! So, there I was, starving to death, and when I get to the lab to take the test the extremely horrible tech was all "Oh, you can't take the test at 12pm. You have to take it in the morning. Your results will com back inconclusive, so you'll have to take it again." Dumb biotch! NO ONE THOUGHT TO TELL ME THIS WHEN I SCHEDULED THE STUPID APPOINTMENT!!!! So, I could only schedule on January 5th. The nurse at doctor said Dr.Pinto may have problem because I'll be 31 weeks already. Well, Dr. P is completely ok with waiting! He isn't concerned at all! I have only gained 2 pounds in 4 weeks, my baby is measuring right on target and I am right on track for a normal, healthy pregnancy! I thank God for His wonderful hand in this pregnancy. Not ONE complication (except those nasty infections, but those are normal during pregnancy). We got to see Landon's face!! He has eyelids and he stuck his tongue out at us because the doctor kept poking him in the head!! He is head down, already in position to come out! I don't think he'll wait until March 3rd, though....I want him OUT at 37 weeks! The earliest he can come out without going to the NICU. Mommy allows it!
So much to update! My shower was on Saturday!! It was awesome!! A lot better than i had expected!! We received EVERYTHING we needed!!! I am so grateful that Landon is so loved!! I thank GoPublish Postd for all the amazing friends and family! May God bless all of you! Dr. Seuss was a success, by the way! The decorations came out AWESOME!!!! Thanks to Gisela, Priscilla and my wonderful Husband for helping set everything up! We were there until 2:30 in the morning!! But, everything looked beautiful!
And now, onto to my loving husband. I don't know what I would do without him or how I have lived so long without him. He is such an amazing person. He helps me so much! He is very supportive and is always there for me. No matter what. I can have a fruit craving late at night and he would go get me fruit....in the freezing cold....no questions asked. I couldn't make it through this pregnancy without him. I mean, I COULD, but i wouldn't WANT to. Thank you Lando for all you have done for me. I love you beyond words could ever say and I thank God for your life everyday.
